Be Part of It..

Everyday  I wake up, go to work, and come back home tired and exhausted, and sometimes I feel annoyed for not having time to do so and so ... but then I remember those people who have no time or chance to Live ..
Yes..to live..to live a proper life, to Eat proper food, to Wear proper clothes and Sleep in a proper house..

So what I'm complaining about, Subhan Allah.. I think one should  not live seeking the best for himself and   his own life only, we are all one nation, and we are not living in separated islands.. We have to think about our  families having terrible life due to the occupation and the false war declared against them under the slogans of peace and unity !!

When you complain about your life, remember that you are living a better life than many people, and remember that you also have to do something to your nation, for two reasons: first to thank the grace of Allah Almighty on you, and second, that it's our duty to help each other and keep united one Ummah, that Allah Almighty will ask us what we have done for our Ummah.

The words said in the video reminded me with the -Hadith - words of our Prophet Mohamed "Peace be upon him":

(لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه)
(None of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself)

Viva Palestina Arrives to Gaza .. Allahu Akbar

Thanks to Allah... Viva Palestina convoy passed to Gaza yesterday night and they were allowed to pass on the supplies to our families besieged in Gaza..

Gaza, January 7, 2010 - Viva Palestina aid convoy entered Gaza Wednesday night, after it received the approval of Egyptian authorities to bring into the besieged, impoverished coastal sliver several tons of humanitarian supplies.
07

More than 500 international activists accompanying the convoy organized by the British-based group Viva Palestina entered Gaza through Rafah border crossing.

The Egyptian approval came after activists and security forces clashed earlier in the day when Cairo refused to allow part the aid convoy to pass through its land to the Gaza. More than 55 activists and over a dozen members of the security forces were injured in the clashes. Some sixty convoy-members were also arrested.
The people in Gaza went to its streets waiting the convoy. The warmly welcomed them as they expressed their happiness to meet the George Gallway. They were holding the Palestinian flag and welcome signs.

Before a crowd of Gazans, convoy organizer British MP George Galloway said, “We are saying to President Obama, the world is looking. The situation in Palestine is intolerable. You have to stop this. That means you have to take action because actions speak louder than words.

“I’m really proud to say that Viva Palestine USA helped to break the siege. We will cry out against the world … We will continue to bring convoys until the siege is finally ended.”

Israel’s two-year siege of the Gaza Strip has plunged the tiny area of 1.5 million people into a humanitarian crisis. And Israel’s three-week assault further devastated the area when the military bombed homes, schools, mosques, hospitals and universities. The attack killed more than 1,400 Palestinians, wounded more than 5,300 and left more than 50,000 people homeless.

From the ground a Gaza resident said this convoy as well as others like it are essential tools not only in fighting the effects of the siege but to also raise awareness around the world about the plight of the Palestinians living under Israeli occupation.

The Viva Palestina volunteers will go to Gaza City today, where they will spend the night. On Thursday, they will meet with victims of Israel’s January assault before heading back to Cairo, Kevin Ovenden, Viva Palestina director told an AMP official by phone.

The current convoy, which first tried to cross into Gaza on July 11, faced numerous obstacles, according Ovenden.

The convoy left Cairo early Wednesday morning to make the 10-hour trek to Rafah. The convoy is taking two ambulances and 11 truckloads of medical supplies but has left behind hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of vehicles earmarked for hospitals and nongovernmental organizations. Egyptian authorities have refused to allow the vehicles to enter Gaza through its Rafah border. Currently, the sedans and pick-up trucks are in a secure location in Alexandria, Ovenden said.

After he returns from Gaza, Ovenden said he would remain in Egypt for several days to try to get the vehicles released. Israel wants the cars and trucks to be transported to Gaza through Israel, something Viva Palestina refuses to do, Ovenden said. Viva Palestina will take into account the desires of the thousands of individuals and organizations who generously donated to the convoy, he added.

Personal DNA Map for $ 1,000

This is the goal of IBM's Research team, to build a DNA transistor that will be used to develop a chip that can quickly map out genetic code contained within the biological structures of organisms. The chip will try to understand genetic code by sequencing strands of DNA -- the basic building block of life -- to help individualize courses of medical treatment for patients, said Gustavo Stolovitzky, a scientist and manager of functional genomics at IBM Research.

IBM hopes the genome reader will be able to map out genetic code in a matter of minutes at a cost of between US$100 and $1,000.

Harnessing its expertise in silicon chips for biomedical use, IBM (Armonk, NY) researchers specializing in nanofabrication, microelectronics, physics, and biology are collaborating to develop a groundbreaking DNA transistor that could advance personalized medicine. If realized, the device could read an individual’s genomic and molecular data, thereby potentially contributing to the discovery of new products and allowing more-targeted healthcare for the patient.

Understanding the genetic code by reading DNA will aid in precisely detecting diseases and improving the quality of treatment offered to patients, Stolovitzky said.

The genome reader is being designed as a silicon chip in which DNA is threaded through a pore in the chip and its characteristics are read out sequentially. The chip has tiny electrodes to produce electrical fields that can trap negatively charged DNA molecules, after which the chip will measure and sequence the DNA. Components integrated into the chip include chemical, physical and atomic layers that aid in evaluating the molecules and sequencing the genetic composition. A microprocessor, most likely residing outside the chip, would also be needed for DNA sequencing.

The DNA-reading chip might also be used for other biotechnology applications that involve sequencing human, animal, bacterial and vegetable DNA, Stolovitzky said.

Ultimately, the company aims to shrink the chip for use in handheld medical devices with which patients can deposit a sample to get their DNA read in a matter of seconds or minutes. The device could be much like a glucose meter, in which users deposit a drop of blood and the device shows the blood-sugar levels in a matter of seconds, Stolovitzky said.

Building the chip is the first step, and IBM will continue its DNA research to help the chip accurately map genetic code.

"We're in a process in which we will have milestones ... [over] three years. At the end of three years we will know if it's feasible or not," Stolovitzky said.

He couldn't predict when the technology would be commercially available. But if it does become available, it could be provided to patients through doctor's offices or in handheld medical devices. Such DNA sequencers could eliminate sequences of lab tests that currently last weeks, he said.

IBM's research would represent an advancement over earlier genome-sequencing efforts that were costly and took years to accomplish. The first-ever genetic sequencing program, the Human Genome Project, was completed in 2003 after 13 years of effort at a cost of $3 billion. The research project was funded primarily by the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Institutes of Health.

The genetic sequencing effort brings together IBM's nanotechnology and research surrounding multiple scientific disciplines. IBM has embarked on other DNA research efforts, including an experiment to use DNA as a way to create tiny circuits, a project unrelated to the genomic reader.

It’s unclear whether the IBM Research effort will make DNA Transistors a reality, but it’s certainly worth a shot.

The light of the Dawn

Everyday we wake up morning.. we have a new opportunity to live a new day.. learn new thing.. gain more experience.. do something good and add value to others..

Other people certainly didn't have this great opportunity, those whom their lives ended ..

Thus, the first thing we do when we wake up early.. is to thank Allah Almighty who gave us new chance to live another new day ..

Saying: Allahum Bek Asba7na wa bek Amsyna wa elayk A-noshor
"اللهم بك أصبحنا و بك أمسينا و بك نحيا و بك نموت و إليك النشور"

This lovely nasheed reflects some of our feelings when rising up early to start a new day :)

I wake with the light of the dawn whispering
With joy in my heart and with praise on my lips
In stillness and twilight I stand before you
Bowing, prostrating I call Allahu

My eyes see your beauty in the dawn’s golden hues
My ears hear the thunder as it glorifies you
The rhythm of my heart beats the sound of your name
My breaths rise and fall with the tide of your praise

My soul knew and loved you before I was born
And without your mercy is lost and forlorn
Wherever I may wander down the pathways of life
My cry to you, oh my Lord, is ‘guide me to light’

Through all fear and helplessness, to you do I turn
For your breath of healing and peace do I yearn
For all that I have, my Lord, all that I am
Is from You, is for You and to You will return

Ya Allah, Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim, Ya Hayyu, Ya Qayyum

Do not be Sad ...

Me and my friend are having somehow tough days... but I'm telling her do not be sad.. Allah is the most merciful, He will never let us down :)

"Or, Who answers the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes the evil, and He will make you successors in the earth. Is there a god with Allah? Little is it that you mind!"
